Kendall Langan, President of LH Organics, graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1976.  Kendall (“Ken”) is also President of Langan Associates a Food Brokerage Company, Import/Export Company and distributor of branded products under the Miramonte Label.  Bill Langan founded Langan Associates in 1968. Since Bill’s death in 1997, Kendall has operated the business. Kendall has also held positions with W.G. Swanson, Patterson Sales, Inc. and Patterson Vegetable Company (formerly Patterson Frozen Foods).

Kendall represented Patterson Frozen Foods for many years while at Langan Associates, in 1994, Mr. John Ielmini, President and CEO of Patterson asked Kendall to join Patterson Frozen Foods to spearhead their growth plans. From 1994 to 2007, Kendall directed an increase in sales from 8 million pounds per year to over 100 million pounds through the development of new products, new customers and new markets.

Kendall’s experience while at Langan Associates and Patterson gave him tremendous breadth of knowledge of product distribution in all facets of the food industry, including frozen, dried, canned, retail, food service and industrial production, including critical knowledge of the growing and processing of food.

Kendall business experience includes companies of all sizes and shapes. Among some of the larger firms are Beatrice Foods, Meadow Gold Dairies, ConAgra, Dole, Del Monte, Durkee Foods/SCM/Glidden-Standard Brands, Carnation, Star-Kist, Icicle Seafood, Bell-Carter Olives, Campbell’s Soup, and H.J Heinz.  In addition, Kendall pioneered product distribution with Hawaii’s Own, Mountain High Yogurt, Durkee Spices, Chef Cut Vegetables, Country Pride Chicken and Bonner Raisins to enhance market share for their products.  Many of Kendall’s projects developed distribution processes that continue through Sysco Foodservice, Safeway, Wal-Mart and similar networks.

Kendall remains active in the food industry and is past president and chairman of the Foodsters and Allied Foods Institute.  The Foodsters sponsor scholarships at The University of California Davis, two at Santa Clara University, two at Cal Poly and one at Chico State.  Senior food industry executives started the Foodsters in the early 1950’s. One of the original founders was Kendall’s Father, Bill Langan.

Kendall, like Bill, is well liked and respected among his peers. Today, he lives in his original Moraga residence with his wife of 30 years. Throughout his life, Kendall has been very active giving back to his community as President of the local youth sports organization. During his 14 years as President the organization helped over 5000 children per year learn and enjoy softball, baseball, basketball, rugby, football, swim team and of course that new sport, soccer.  Kendall was instrumental in the development of these programs and retains a glimmer of pride in their continued strength.
